PROM WAS A BLAST! just feel kinda sad that it'll be the last time in a looooooooooong time that i would see lotsa people that i've spent the last 2 years of my life with. at least till the A level results are released...dread that (getting back the results, like duh. i don't dread meeting my friends again =D).

downloading the pics from my camera now.....I TOOK A PIC WITH EVERYONE IN CLASS! hahahaha...just for keepsakes =) urgh...after remembering how terribly troublesome it is to upload pics on blogger, i'll upload them on facebook. yes...i'm shameless in my desire to show the world what a major cam-whore i am. after spending almost $280 in total (including that 98 bucks just to step into the ballroom), i'd be a fool to keep it all to myself.

anyways, thanks to jolyn, we managed to do our makeup at MEDIACORP! yup...there's nothing wrong with your eyesight and i'm not kidding either. went there with caro, cheryl and suat..came out looking like celebs! (sort of...) hahahahaha...jolyn's aunt is seriously imba. met caro at the bus-stop opposite our house and cabbed there coz we were running late (as usual. it's always the case with me anyways...) LUCKILY WE DIDN'T TAKE A BUS THERE....coz it was a loooooooooooooooooong way to walk in from the bus stop. my 4th (?) time there, 1st was for some chinese debate laoshi forced us all to go for, 2nd time was recording for psc, 3rd for psc and 4th for this!

eventually fumbled our way to the makeup place after getting our access pass. it's near the recording studio, just outside those DANGEROUS stairs we had to carry our heavy heavy boxes of bells up and down. CHAO COOL. it's like what one sees on tv...a few rows of chairs in front of brightly lit mirrors! didn't see any celebs though...awwwww. even if there was one, i don't think i would have recognised that person coz it's been AGES since i watched mediacorp dramas. hahahahahha. those people there are really good and fast (coz they were dying to go home i think..), doing wonders to your face and hair. especially loved the concealer (DUH) and the way they did my eyes! (washing up at home was a nightmare though....especially for the eyes. spastic mascara, but it's small price to pay for beauty...)

changed and hailed a cab to suat's house where we dumped our barang and took our essentials. it's kinda weird looking at small kids staring at you in the cab...i think they suppose us to be some kinda freak. was adapting to going blind as well and hoping that my specs wouldn't get squished in my clutch. (another small price to pay for beauty...) reached ritz carlton SUPER EARLY...around 6+...and got into an embarrassing incident with the cab driver. still wonder how can he NOT have 30 bucks worth of small change at the end of the day....incredulous. we were sooo early that no one else we knew was there (only a bunch of guys mingling outside the ballroom..), so we went to the toilet to adjust our clothes (and hide). hahahahah

6.30...the puny toilet was getting pretty crowded so off we went downstairs! that marked the beginning of my cam-whoring session...heheeheheheh. saw the strings juniors too, but they looked pretty busy with their stands/scores/bows/instruments, so i decided not to pester them. especially since my section is the one handling the BIG instruments...and i don't really wanna hear wangzhuo's comments....hahahah. anyways, everyone looked so DIFFERENT! all glammed up and stuff...SWEET =) i surprise myself with my ability to spot people in the crowd sans specs...maybe i'm not that myopic after all.

the food. doesn't quite justify the 98 bucks that i paid...but no one really goes to prom for the food. as what jolyn said, it gets worse after the soup, so i only took a pic of the 1st 2 courses...the rest look too average. AND WE DIDN'T GET SHARK'S FIN SOUP....man....i paid less for founder's day and i distinctly remember having shark's fin soup. oh wells...lucky sharks. the programme was ok too and MONKEY WON MS CONGENIALITY! oh wells....she did look chao HAWT in that dress of hers and you could hear everyone's surprised gasp at monkey's apparent femininity (i think that was how the atmosphere was like lah...) too bad no one that i knew won prom king....aww. continued cam-whoring again in between courses during the boring parts of the programme, ie the singing. argh....and i forgot to bring yp and farrica's pressie!!!! it's in my drawer now....that means that we MUST MEET UP!

the aftermath was chaotic. caro almost lost her barang and everyone was yelling over the phone to everyone else. AND WE DIDN'T TAKE A CLASS PHOTO...=( awwwwwwww...too bad. kinda hard to gather 26 people together ba. followed caro home and luckily cheryl's dad was REALLY NICE and fetched us home =) yayness!

i guess i'll miss everyone. yups....EVERYONE and some more than others. if i'm not that lazy, my next post should be a shout-out. but....i've gotta finish my hk uni personal statements first...SIANS.

dreams are pretty far from reality. i've always envisioned myself eventually doing something during prom...since it'll be the last time would have a chance to anyway. of course...i didn't do it...no point making a fool out of myself in front of so many people. i've put that thought away a long long time ago anyways, somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind to savour privately. XP
