finding things...
went to esplanade library on tuesday. sorry, it should be library @ esplanade. (quite retarded, but that's what the library is called..) was searching for songs and stuff, but i just couldn't find that elusive benjamin britten piece. oh wells, who asked me to choose movements from this song that he kind of rejected, but his trustees decided that those movements were good enough to publish.
anyway, went to eat at the soup spoon at raffles city first. it's really not bad! then searched for a few hours i guess, kind of lost track of time. reached a couple of conclusions at the end of the search.
1. esplanade library, no, should be library @ esplanade RAWKS MY SOCKS! they have a lot of interesting music related stuff there and the view of the singapore river from this reading and listening to music place is really good.
2. out of the 3 classical period composers, the imba pianists love playing beethoven the most, especially moonlight sonata and pathetique sonata. guess that's coz those pieces are more famous and everyone likes listening to them.
3. imba pianists love playing lizst and chopin ALOT. lots and lots of cds for these 2 composers. i quite like chopin myself but i'm kind of put off after ploughing through all those chopin cds.
4. they actually have chinese pop music there! how cool is that!
5. people go there to mug. WOW. wonder how they can study with some opera playing in the background....the lady sings sooo high somemore...
i shall go there again when i'm free. that rules out this year and next year. maybe after As...

interesting weekend!
i'll write in chronological order, otherwise i'll spend forever on the reunion (!!!!*gets uber high*!!!) today.
changed my glasses yesterday. now it's a maroon, half-framed one which is kind of thick at the side. ok, i'm bad at describing it. let's just say it's quite different from my previous one. i'll just wait until pris uploads the pic we took today, then maybe everyone can see how it looks like.
since we were already in the cbd area and my dad didn't want to give the govt anymore chance to take his money, we went to chinatown to eat and for my dad to get some dunnowadherbs? i don't really know what it is too. then my sis got her music books. obviously was late for yf, especially since it started at 3.30. combined with galilee! they're really really close and warm (esp. since they have so few people...) the message was good too! wished we had discussion with them or something....that would be good!
the sermon by rev jack sin today was good too! thought-provoking! the nursery presentation was soooooo cute!!!!!hahaha.....
squeezed in some playing piano time. then went for the mghandbells06 reunion! too bad ahma couldn't come, she was busy with her projects or something. so in the end, krys, laoda, laosan, me (class of 06), moni, rui (07), tiff and pris (sec 4s nxt yr liao!) went to pris' house. super fun!!! we almost left tiff (who was suppose to find krys n mi) behind coz that blur blur girl didn't bring her phone out. luckily we saw her walking when we were about to leave the house! we were the first!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha......
lots of food to eat! fried rice, otah (the 'fishcake'...hahahaha), chicken, fruit salad, chips, ice cream....since this is the mghandbellchoir, we almost managed to finish the food. then we went to jurong east there to watch movie! quite impromptu, we decided to watch the 7.20 show at around 6.30? yes, that's very impromptu. so we rushed there!!!!
watched enchanted! typical rom-com with an ending that i could guess, but it was quite sweet and funny! all that singing and dancing around in the park and things that happen in cartoons actually taking place in real life (technically). monica claims that we (pris, mi, tiff and rui) all leaned back and said 'KISS!!!' at the same time. i tell you it's sooooooo not true! i was rolling my eyes in exasperation and asking that guy to 'hurry up lah! think you got all the time in the world ah?!?!?' oh wells......but quite sweet! just i don't think guys would like it...hahaha...
and that ends my 'interesting' weekend. at least it was more interesting than my weekday.....

another random boring day
this sounds totally random but I HATE ANTS. HATE THEM TO THE CORE OF THEIR PUNY LITTLE BODIES!!!! wanted to eat weetabix with banana today, but the ants ruined it. luckily i broke open that piece of weetabix and saw all those small ants crawling around. continued breaking open a few more pieces and ALL HAD ANTS IN THERE. so too bad, no weetabix for jane. obviously threw the whole ant-infested box away. gross... and i was wondering where all the ants in the kitchen were going to. wondered how long they lived in there for too. better not think so much, might have eaten them last time unknowingly....this is bad....don't think so much....
wasted another 90 cents today and spent less than 5 min in school. sheesh
nothing else worth noting...shall go and play piano.

just came back from school. wasted 90 cents for a piece of paper and some information. sians....
thank you Lord, for all you've done for me. quite happy now! ntu not as lag as i thought. but i really want to thank God for helping me get my 'first choice'. was quite scared i couldn't get it and stuff then have to do pharma chem...now i just have to trudge back to school again on friday....waste another 90 cents...but i feel quite bad applying for 2, feels like i'm robbing others of a chance to get into the nus one. jane is such a bad girl...
Lord, thank you for answering prayers...better go back to doing my music stuff. quite screwed for that. must start doing schoolwork again. already wasted don't know how many weeks of my holidays. can't wait for the mghandbellchoir '06 reunion on sunday! we can go siao and high and stuff again!

argh....when is the h3 thingy for ntu going to come out???????????? it's half killing me and i don't know whether to accept the nus one or not. the biggest problem is i have to confirm it like by tomorrow! i'm not that interested in physical chem, but i'm afraid if i decline the offer and don't get the offer from ntu to take molecular biology (which i prefer like 1000000 times more), then i have to take those horrible hard hard moe h3s. i will just hate myself. ALOT. argh...ntu don't so lag can????? keene said he only got his ntu notification watucallit thingy in december last year. that is sooooooooooooooooooooooo lag........ argh.....hope it'll come out soon...enough...
Lord, help me choose wisely. YOU alone know what's best for me. i think mr foo's treating us to tea tomorrow. no wait, dessert. haha...don't need to play! haha...
and jane the imba procrastinator has just finished watching ep 10 of gong zhu xiao mei. they're extending it by 3 episodes!!!!!! gong mo li ( acted by zhuo wen xuan) actually seems quite nice now, though i have no idea who in their right mind would like cai ( played by my alltime most disliked member of feilunhai, chen yiru). for 10 years somemore?!?!? sigh....ling better....haha....sorry, just my personal preference.
ok ...should go back to doing work again....sigh
i changed the skin liao! the contrast is better i guess, but the words are smaller...next time i'll increase the font lah...

miss japan trip........
ahhhhhhhh......i miss mghandbellchoir 06. like totally! about 1 year ago i would have been on my way there now.......
i'm still stuck in singapore now with nowhere to go this year.
japan trip was the funnest thing ever! with the coolest/funnest/highest/SANEST/most imba people ever! we just ate and played and played and ate. the 24 hr convenience shop next to our hotel must have loved us big time! it was our NUMBER ONE favourite place (i think) around there coz we kept stocking up on all sorts of food and have instant noodle/junk food parties later in the hotel! the last day was definitely the funnest! we all went to rui and monica's room and slept there. i think we watched "the day after tomorrow" IN JAPANESE. no one could understand a word but isabelle watched it before and she sort of told us the storyline. just plain weird lah!
ahhhhhhhhhh...i miss ringing those nice nice bells too! best cca ever! ahhhhhh......miss my favourite place! E6F6 shelley! (sp?) having this "mass convo" ( as pauline said) on facebook really brings back memories of mghandbellchoir 04 too! yes....when i kept getting 'bullied' by steph. but it was fun too!=)

2 days of going out....
went out yesterday and today. my piano teacher STILL hasn't replied me. wonder if i'm going to have lesson this week....nevermind....
anyway, yesterday was the strings recruitment drive thingy, where we invite the high school and nanyang sec 4 strings people and try to get them to join HCSE. no cellist or double bassists among the future juniors though. i have come to the conclusion that my memory is very very bad, especially when it comes to putting name to faces. absolutely disastrous. came to that conclusion after the icebreakers.
went to botanical gardens after that for the treasure hunt thingy since the rain stopped. actually, more like reduced to a very very slight, unnoticable drizzle. quite fun i guess. started at one end of botanical gardens (at serene centre there) and ended up at the other (orchard road side...). obviously took a bus back.
got ambushed by my classmates at the class bench. i'm so sorry, i don't make it a point to remember what i learn during the year when it's holiday time. actually i haven't started ANY revision.
haiz.....time to start work again jane, before you really forget everything you learnt....went out today too! celebrated jianan's birthday before he goes off to japan tomorrow and bought present for yueling with jolyn. i think it's quite nice! i'll be quite happy if i had that as a birthday present! sticking to bags, clothes and shoes as birthday presents for me are quite safe bets. i rather have something that's practical which i would use. or maybe those small keychain thingys. or bling. just no big big soft toys. there's already no space on my bed.
anyways, went to k again after that. very high...literally....
wanted to write something more but forgot exactly what i wanted to write....nevermind.

my week without the com....
i'm suppose to do other things now but nevermind. i'm going to change the skin soon too, just that i'm trying to find a nice one. plus with my terrible, awful, etc computer skills, i'll take a very long time to do the html thingy again. i'll change it soon.....when i'm extremely bored with absolutely nothing to do (which i don't think will happen)
anyway, i caught up on my sleep on the days that i didn't go out when my com wasn't working. my day was like.....
-gets up in the morning and eat breakfast while reading newspaper
-play piano and 'laxing around' (occasional sweeping floors, doing housework....)
-eat lunch, do qt....
-nap!
-take shower, eat dinner, watch tv
-play cello
-watch more tv
-sleep when the show(s) has ended
when i did go out.....my day was obviously more interesting.
OP day!it was okay though the entire atmosphere was a bit weird. at least nothing went wrong for my session, which was in the morning. had ms carole teo (our bio teacher!) and ms cynthia ang (who was making very weird, 'no link' comments....) as our assessors. generally ok, though i exceeded my time by a bit i think. one poor group in the afternoon wasn't as fortunate, something really bad cropped up. poor things. i thought their project was really good....
WENT TO CELEBRATE AFTER THAT!!!! (of course...i hate pw remember.....) went to orchard with the girls in the morning shift, which is caro, yl, chuan and jolyn. went to eat at crystal jade, then went window shopping! quite fun! must release all that stress after pw is over....
Strings outing!went to east coast park to cycle! very fun and quite cheap! $5 for 3 hours! but the seat was super hard, so we all had butt-aches after riding for only half an hour. oh well, you get uncomfortable seats for paying so little. obviously had aching butt and thighs after that, but it's good exercise for couch-potato jane who spent the rest of the week sleeping and watching tv.
Class chalet! went to costa sands at downtown east! which means i went to the east 3 days in a row for strings outing, then chalet. very very very long mrt ride. wish i could stay over, but obviously my parents didn't let me. sigh.
went after piano lesson on the first day. cycled around, checked out the chalet rooms, eat dinner, played.....usual stuff. and we almost succeeded in teaching chuan how to cycle! yay! in only i hour leh......haha....
only went for the bbq on the second day. mad rush to pasir ris after strings practice ended. luckily only just started the fire, not the eating. quite fun...always liked bbqs...went home really really late but before 12am. must pack up and clean the place, that sort of stuff before going home.....
