counting blessings
i shall use this to push the previous post down. I WAS GUSHING AWAY AND ZI-HIGHING LAH! so embarrassing...hehehehe
anyways, i realise that one (ie me.) always learns to be appreciative of things only AFTER they lose it. like...."that *cough cough* thing" and (on a less serious side) THE AIRCONDITIONING SYSTEM IN THE CAR.
so terrible. aren't hondas supposed to be better than toyotas? why does the honda keep clocking up weird, terrible faults? first it's the starter, now, it's the AIRCON. bleh. being in tropical singapore doesn't help one bit--it's uber hot in the day even with the windows down, plus rainy days really SUCK. you either get wet with the windows rolled down, or you suffocate in the heat of the car with the windows up.
LUCKILY MY DAD GOT IT FIXED TODAY! yayness =) it's quite obvious that my dad isn't too happy with this car coz he wants me to practise driving on it. HAHAHAHA....that's equivalent to killing the car. i've already scratched it twice...oops.
lesson learnt? must be appreciative of the airconditioning.
of course, there's other stuff i'm grateful for...don't feel like putting it down here coz i always get super emotional when i think about it. ya...the 'tears well up in my eyes and threaten to roll down my cheeks" type of emotional.

ooooo....i wanna watch slumdog millionaire! it won sooooooo many oscars. XP heath ledger won the best supporting actor posthumously too! the joker he portrayed was really too freaky... was watching the pianist yesterday (starring adrien brody in his oscar winning turn) and IT WAS IMBA. arthouse-ish but i like! ok....maybe it's a tad to moody for me, then again, it's a holocaust film so that is entirely expected....

xiao xiao liao...
guess what...i specially switched on the com to ogle huyuwei. HAHAHAHA...I'M SUCH A LOSER MAN! but the video quality is atrocious. hahaha...i keep willing him to turn and face the web-cam. he is super funny!!! oh no! he's got crutches....i thought wangdongchen was the one who's hurt? HAIZ. too bad i can't go see huyuwei in person tomorrow in cine. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIZZZZZZZZZZZ....=(
gerielle, my partner in crime, you must be sighing away. HAHAHAH...
oooo...shall go back to watching. AHHHHH....the fact that huyuwei is acting in it makes me wanna watch ai jiu zai yi qi!!!!
sorry....zi-highing. yes, in front of the com. i'm seriously a 宅女 lah.

=S
my current fav emoticon. if it can be called an emoticon in the first place. it's just so ME. fine...maybe i can't contort my lips in like manner (it'll be scary if i could), but that's what i've been feeling these couple of days? weeks? no....probably months.
yeah...i realised that it'll come to the stage where i would write stuff in different places--1 for the world to see, 1 for me to see. one needs a mirror sometimes and time to reflect yah. it's quite obvious who this is for...the other place is somewhere else happily locked up and without many references to who i am. it will stay this way man!
andddd....my fav word in the oxford dictionary now is a toss-up between MOROSE and MORBID. very pessimistic words...I LIKE. i realise that this is the optimistic-side-of-jane blog, but heck.
MOROSE: bad-tempered, unhappy and silent.
MORBID: 1.unhealthily interested in unpleasant subjects, esp those concerning death. 2. connected with or caused by disease of body or mind.
currently, i've got an (unfortunate) addiction to liff words. SUPER FUNNY! they seriously express ideas and thoughts almost everyone has come across in a single word! nevermind that the spellcheck doesn't recognise them and the spelling of the words look rather awkward.
SEE...this is a SIGN that i should go get a job. i keep thinking of and about random (usually sad and morbid) stuff that i'm on the verge of convincing myself that i'm clinically depressed. obviously, a clinically depressed person wouldn't THINK that he/she is depressed in the first place. maybe i shouldn't study medicine at all. as a closet hypochondriac, i'll probably worry myself to death thinking that i've got some obscure disease that will slowly kill me.
either ways, i guess that oft-heard saying is quite true. there's no way to get something/someone out of your mind except by replacing it by something else that will fully occupy your mind. (ie, one will keep dreaming on and on about wuzun until the next big thing--maybe hu yu wei!!!!--comes along)

as usual, it's better to ignore posts written past 2am. i'm slightly MENTALLY UNSTABLE and pseudo-philosophical at this hour.
oooooo...was reading someone's old post from i think...prelim time. it's an ex-sec 2 classmate (THE YEAR I GOT TO SIT NEAR ENOUGH THE BACK. YEAH BABY!) who went to rj through ip. and i quote
"HCI papers totally shatter the ego, haha. Sure, challenging, but now's not the time for intellectual stimulation. I'd have thrown the '07 maths paper across the room, if not for air resistance. Throwing paper across rooms just doesn't give the same oomph of satisfaction as would, say, expensive glass figurines." sister, welcome to my world. i got stuck at my sis's binomial expansion tutorial btw...

jane does something useful!
ok...due to overwhelming protests from my sis about 1 of my previous posts, i'm supposed to declare her unfailing love for ares. tsk...she's been utterly deluded and brainwashed by the fac comm! hahaha....ok. job done. 真是的!既然让这种小事破坏我们的姐妹感情....JOKING LAH.
anyway...i was helping my dad proof-read his 'paper' against the soon-to-be published one, which is the one USEFUL thing i've done in a long time. easy peasy, just try to find where both essays deviate, circle it and mark it down. i could do this professionally for a small salary (of course i didn't ask for money from my dad before i helped him. i'm too bored and any work is welcomed =D).
ah yes...that theory about being able to understand a piece of writing better if you speed read it as compared to reading each and every individual word IS TRUE! i understood more of that (alien language) essay reading it by paragraph than by checking to make sure that the words/punctuations, etc are the same. haiz...the stuff my dad does for his experiments. at least it was better than the 'pistachio-eating saga'. had to eat ONE WHOLE BIG BOX worth of pistachios coz my dad wanted the shells for his experiments. never had much of a craving for pistachios after that. even my nut-loving mum doesn't really eat pistachios now (she prefers walnuts now. BRAIN FOOD, so she claims)
AND I WENT BACK TO HC FOR ORIENTATION ON FRI! =) hehehe....met up with jolyn at j8 first for dinner and present buying. yeah...i was (most regrettably) late AGAIN. i blame the public transport system. walked all the way to the bus-stop before nanyang to save 77cents (no...i'm not cheapo k! thrifty, THRIFTY) and watched that confounded 156 pass by at 6 ave. since i was more than 3/4 way to that blasted bus stop, i continued walking and waited for the next bus.
haiz...i needed the exercise anyway. (man...who am i kidding?) anyways, it was fun walking around with jolyn! hehe....we have good tastes man! *egos for a while* then we went to school. that 156 has SERIOUSLY got something against me--i finished my mcchicken waiting for that terrible bus. orientation was so-so, not very interesting. then again, i was there to see friends! other than jolyn and me, yl, veron, suat, nandhu, chuan, monkey, cheryl, caro, thomas, stanley, chiki, scott, zy and hh went. I JUST REALISED THAT MORE THAN HALF THE CLASS WENT! oops...lag. saw a couple of teachers and juniors too. oh yes...and my sis. hahha. yes yes...i'm shorter than her...no big deal.
btw...liw is bordering on scary. *shudders*
i hope he doesn't see this. HAHAHAHAHAH
oh...and we kinda freaked out caro by making her go in front of the kahkee statue at 10+pm ALONE in the darkness. ok lah...we went to surprise her with a bday cake after that =D (and scare off that dubious couple sitting on the steps in front of the kahkee statue. i'd rather not know what they were doing there).
heheh....seeing them all doing PRODUCTIVE things has spurred me on to stop WASTING MY TIME BUMMING OUT. yup. just waiting for replies and all, on top of helping my dad. hahha.
ooooooooo....i stumbled on someone's deviantart account. from MG! cool. always liked her artworks. very very pro looking, no wonder she got to fly off to some country (i think it was japan) to get some cool award. SWEET. just randomly read one of her posts on obs....ah....reminds me of those good old days.
man....i sound old. should go and practise those confounded scales now....BLEH

HAPPY! =D
super super overjoyed, pleasantly surprised, over the moon, hyper, excited, grateful, shocked, flabbergasted, etc.... JUST CHAO HAPPY LAHHHHHH =P (almost) DREAM COME TRUE!!!!! now...i've just gotta make sure that i didn't screw up my As too badly, especially chem.
yayness! =)
went for the btt practise today, oops, i mean YESTERDAY. that theory thing is seriously a waste of money if one doesn't intend to learn to drive through the school. PERIOD. i go home, study and search for the prac qns online is about as effective and DEFINITELY MUCH CHEAPER. take it from me...they're just trying to rip you off.
AND I SAW BAOXIA ON THE WAY BACK!!! hehehe....fellow slacker. should just gather all my slacker friends and go out together one of these days before i decide to get a bit more productive. HEHEHEHHE
oooooo....i hope people wanna go for campfire. i THINK there's an mg gal in the grand-junior class. not like i know her personally anyways. *jane is bemused at the fact that liw still visits the (extremely dead) class blog. (LUCKILY WE DON'T LINK STUFF TO IT LOR...)*
it's late, so jane is random. weird logic....

LOL
apollo fac comm should be proud of me. i've turned my sis against her fac before she's in there. HAHAHAHHAHA...compare and contrast her reactions man....
when she got put into an obviously apollo class: "yay! hahaha...now i can wear your fac shirt! =D"
and then they changed the classes over the weekend....
soooooo she got chucked into a very obviously non-apollo class: "aw man....can i change class?"
SEE! THE INFLUENCE A SISTER HAS. MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.
~
oh wells...i shall not emo here. not very nice if certain groups of people come here and see me lamenting about certain AHEM people in authority here. BUT...CAN'T THEY ASK THE PERSON IN QUESTION FOR PERMISSION FIRST??? LIKE HELLLLLO....their actions are fully examplified by the canto phrase zi ba zi wai. *jane rolls eyes*

randommmmmm
超痒!!!!!!!!!!! buay tahan!!!! darn...the old one hasn't dried up and dropped off yet, but a new one has appeared!!! sucks. =(
anyways...been going out quite often these few days. yes...with that HIDEOUS thing on me. orchard, orchard, bbdc.
went out with farrica and yingpeng on monday!!!!!! XD was late (as usual) while trying to find that horribly elusive mendelssohn sonata score for my sister. it was hard enough trying to find that spastic shop in north bridge road...and they didn't have that score. BLEH. oh wells, took a train to orchard and walked to far east to meet them. NICE LUNCH AT TAKA!!!!! hehehe...walked around to find stuff to buy. erm...went to hmv to get my dad's 意难忘 cd and went to borders to get my sis's mendelssohn cd. oooooo....was listening to other cds too! hahahha...and had the PONYO SONG going round my head. chao kawaii-nei!
haiz....my dad really likes that cd. i was forced to listen to all that 青山,凤飞飞,etc songs. too bad lah, i'm in the study with my dad and the cd player was switched on.
what did i do on tues? oh yes...终于看完霹雳MIT!!!!!!!!! yeah yeah...LAG. yay! i've kinda guessed the plot! must be my (看太多电视所造成的)第六感. i think there'll be the sequel ba coz lotsa people seem to like it. except some (weirdo) person who actually commented on tudou that he/she hates yalun. quite amusing to read the replies by the yalun fans scolding that person. LOL. hahahahhaha....next show should be the korean meteor garden. hehehehhehe...shall go and see whether 'that guy' is really that cool...hehe.
oh...then i went out with my mum on weds. nothing much, just eat and walk around. HOW CAN M&S RUN OUT OF THE NICE DIGESTIVE BISCUITS??? btw, there are some biscuits going at 1dollar per roll....really worth it! had 越来越爱 looping this time.
and thennn....i finally went for the theory lessons today. i THOUGHT i saw some hc people, but i'm not entirely sure. erm...not very useful, but i only signed up coz they give you practices for the questions. i should start memorising that book soon...

jane starts looking for productive things to do
WOW-EEE! my other 'laggy and always go on strike' com worked for about 3hours. MIRACLE. i managed to talk till only 1 person was still talking to me when the com hanged. i've already given up all hope on that com, so i'm pleased with whatever it does. talk about low expectations.
ANYWAYSSSSSS...my angbao collection for this year is not bad. especially if you count the ones my grandparents gave when i went to visit them a couple of weeks ago PLUS the (surprise) angbao i got from the newly-weds i played for. those are extras on top of the usual angbao givers. XD *jane happy! =)*
never played until my finger had a blister before lah. PAIN. stupid canon in d, i'll NEVER use it for my wedding unless my fiance tells me that he rather die than not have canon in d. haiz...luckily i was mic-ed or else i'll get another blister attempting to play loud enough to be heard.
oh wells, it ain't hurting anymore. it's my lip that's currently driving me mad. 我快毁容了!都是虾子惹的祸。MY LOWER LIP IS SWOLLEN LIKE IT'S BEEN STUNG BY AN EXCEPTIONALLY ANGRY COLONY OF WASPS!!!!! then it turned cold-sore-like and looks like there's pus there or something. please please please don't take neoprints tomorrow. haiz....or i'll keep covering that part with something. oh...and the other good thing about the allergic reaction is that it diverted my attention from my stomach ache cum cramps. still trying to decide which was the cause of the lower abdominal pains since both came together. HAHAHAHHA...I SOUND LIKE A WEAKLING. sigh...体弱多病...
at least i'm going out with farrica and yingpeng tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah man! oops, i mean TODAY! but i've got to go get my sis's ulu, hard to find and not many people play mendelssohn score and cd. darn. it sounds darn hard, then again, it's an ft piece so there's something wrong if it doesn't sound impressively hard. hahahahhaa....i can laugh at her as she goes to school tomorrow. if she ends up in 75 (tho it's super unlikely coz of e combi she wants to take), i will laugh even harder.
ooooo...this cream for cold-sores thingy is tingly. ouchie
dear puny red words,
congratulations on your move! you have served me well during your time here and i feel that it's about time you moved to a permanent home. thank you for your services in allowing me to release pent-up feelings to a certain extent in spite of all (false) claims about you just being a figment of imagination. hope you like your new home!
yours sincerely,
jane
