no...it's not a typo. i've been watching MASS DISPLAYS OF PATRIOTISM (MDPs....quite literally) over the looooong weekend. schoolwork? what schoolwork? sounds alien to me.

yes....jane the slacker didn't study AT ALL. hahahaha....the olympics is more interesting lor. watched 2 MDPs and LOTSA olympic matches. i think i watched badminton, gym, diving, volleyball, basketball, abit of soccer, swimming....

speaking of olympics, (i know this is abit late, but honestly,) BEIJING OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY RAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!! i totally agree with this reporter who said that this was better than the last film zhang yi mou directed. and it definitely beats ndp (sorry s'pore. but that's the cold hard truth. i mean, my mum FELL ASLEEP watching ndp. that must say something about it...) the opening ceremony was truly SPECTACULAR, GRAND, ARTSY, WIREY (they used alot of wires to create those UBER COOL effects), EXPLOSIVE, etc....man....can't wait to watch closing ceremony! =) the fireworks were seriously imba....lining the main road all the way to the bird's nest leh! the way the fire was lit was also chao cool....all the wires and stuff...COOL. poor army though...they were the ones performing in those massive blocks of performers...hahaha. but then again....this IS the most expensive opening ceremony ever and they DO want to impress the rest of the world, so kudos to them!

but i did fall asleep during the speeches and the walking out of the (i think) almost 200 countries later. it took almost 2hrs for all of them to walk out and the only reason i continued watching was to see the lighting-up right at the end. was quite tired that day too....

MDP no. 2 was NDP (hahaha....looks quite....hahahah). ok lah....the costumes were really weird and i guess it didn't seem so nice after watching such a wonderful,exciting and unpredictable opening ceremony the previous night. erm....the fireworks were nice...hahah. i just happen to have a soft spot for fireworks! =)

if i wasn't glued to the tv, i was eating. OHMY...PIGGING OUT AGAIN. ARGH!!!!!!!! i'm SOOO gonna exercise this week, i've eaten way way way too much over the long weekend. had sushi buffet on friday, chocolate fudge cake and fish-and-chips-cum-pizza takeaway on sunday (my sister's bday mah...must eat nice stuff! all from greenwood ave and ALL WERE CHAO SUMPTIOUS!) and dimsum today. like....FATS GALORE! arghhhhhhhhhhhhh. went shopping today too...bought 2shirts and 1skirt. hahaha....*conveniently forgets that prelims are less than 2weeks away*

shall try to go on hiatus again.....keyword: TRY.

and again, my gut feelings don't fail me. they are seriously powerful stuff, but i guess it's just a mere way of the subconcious asserting its pressure on the decision-making part of the brain. perhaps, it's just one way the body protects itself against 2-face harveys.
