yf camp! =) and about my hair....

can't take it any more....shall rant about my hair first. IT'S WEIRD! AND SOOOOOOOOO NOT ME! =( it's too...straight. just doesn't look like me. went to some place my mum's friend recommended and became a guinea pig for my mum to see how good the hairdresser's skills were. ok....so maybe i didn't specify so precisely what type of look i wanted. NEVERMIND. i have 2 more weeks for the hair to grow before school reopens. i shall be optimistic and think of good things about the haircut. erm....it's neater and the fringe isn't covering half my face. er...it's not so heavy and hot. erm....i don't need to waste so much shampoo on it and wait for such a long time for it to dry. hair, please grow FASTER... now i understand the pains of people who get screwed up haircuts... oh! thought of 1 more good point: the fringe looks ok. as compared to the rest of the hair.....ARGH....

ok...looooooooong post ahead. about yf camp. was kinda part-time for the games part and i didn't stay over again. but went for all the messages and they were good! =) especially the main message and the video sermons. leading is quite stressful, but got to know people in my group better, especially the girls. there were lots more gals than guys this year, like 2:1 ratio. shall go by the day ba...

Mon: went earlier coz i'm in camp comm. the sun was out so we sunned the mattresses in the field to get rid of the smell and stuff. apparantly someone in junior camp peed on 1 of the mattresses. i think it's the one they didn't use. hahahaha....i hope so...but then again i'm not staying over so it doesn't affect me much.

then it was waiting for people to come....obviously started late coz quite a number of people were late. after camp briefing and cleaning up the dorms, we played ice-breakers! quite fun! we were all ganging up on some people for the clip game which was really fun. haha...then it was lunchtime. my group did the cleaning up, so it kinda ate into the group time. oh wells....anyways, cleaning up with nerissa, clarissa (finally...correct sp..) and naomi was funny! got to know these 3 better! =)

group time was obviously quite stressful for me....like must think of what to do and say, group objectives and stuff beforehand. kinda felt like i kena thrown into the deep end with a flimsy float when i'm still unable to swim. thank God i managed to pull through....phew! my group was kinda quiet and i half wanted to zi high to liven up the atmosphere. ARGH....now the yf very young (as in lotsa young people...) so i'm considered one of the older ones liao. at 17 only lah. in the past, the older ones referred to the people in uni who were all above 20... bo pian lah....

moving on........games time again, and the games weren't very memorable coz i can't remember what i played, other than the abit boliao number game. shall just fast-forward to night message by rev james tan on nehemiah. ok...i admit i've never been a particular fan of his messages, i like people who give in point-form and stuff. i don't mind his varying-the-volume-to-make-it-interesting style, but i wish he would speak louder for the soft times. luckily they gave him a mike/mic (dunno sp...) the next few messages or else jane's mind would have wandered far far away. anyways...this night's message was on neh 1 and how God moved him to wanna rebuild the wall and about prayer. i think that's what it was on...i think i was wandering off....oops.

Tues: went for main message by rev philip heng. yup, we must know where we came from, which will decide where we're going and what we're gonna do to get there. didn't fall asleep....hahaha...but then again those who can fall asleep during his messages are imba. the video sermon was also very thought-provoking. like questioning if you are really saved, with the evidence of your salvation being the things you do.

then the (dreaded...for me lah...) group discussion. soooooooooo quiet! like no one wants to say anything. the coming up with questions part also not as easy as it sounds....luckily people started talking more...at the end. haiz...nevermind. went for piano lesson in the afternoon, played the imba nice steinway again =) this time i took a pic of it. =) was pouring lyk crazy on the way back home....kinda bored in the car so i took pics of the rain and gonna-be-flooded-if-the-rain-continues roads. stayed home to prac piano. SIAN.

shall update more later.....very long liao. on a side note....chao happy my church fren bestie,magdalene, came back frm aussie!! she's changed ALOT and (luckily) for the better too! =) =) not so ah lian anymore....totally miss her.........talked to her alot during camp and stuff, just like last time. oh yes! addy's back too! sooooooooo happy! =)=)=) all my besties overseas coming back! =)

shall attempt to do some hw. didn't do any last night, or for the past week for that matter. i haven't even gotten the bio (hard copy....) and i see people who've FINISHED it. haha...see...this proves i'm not mugger.
