making-sweetness Finally, it's SUMMER!
Thursday, June 23, 2011 making-sweetness Back to the top

It's funny how I've been dying to go back to a nice warm place since Easter hols, but when I'm finally back....I complain that it's too hot and humid. Hahahahaha....but that hasn't stopped me from going out ok! And I don't need to switch on the air-conditioning unit all the time ^^

Either way, it's good to be home. =D

Ok, I admit...it's actually more like "it's good to not have to study so much and feel less guilty about watching shows & slacking". Hahaha...I foresee my summer mugging plans evaporating into thin air. In fact, I don't see myself being able to sustain my summer keep-fit plans past the initial 2-3 weeks. LOL...CANNOT CANNOT!!!! *Attempts to banish thoughts of throwing in the towel too soon*

I should totally do a wee update on what the heck I've been up to since my last posting right. Or....I could continue watching "49days" since I'm already done with "Secret Garden".

Anyways, I was studying kinda hard till exam time....away from the computer and all the distractions it provides (though some of the people studying in SL are distractions in themselves by doing annoying things....like generating noise while wrapping up their friend's stuff in aluminium foil like some primary school kid). And thank goodness for past-year papers, what would we do without them? Hahahahaha...and of course, the help and prayers of people around me definitely went a long way. ^^

After exams....obviously went out to watch movies (kungfu panda 2 is nice ok!!!), EAT eat Eat, walk around, chill, start clearing my 9month old show-watching backlog, etc. Even went to play Laser Quest! EE is really suuuuuuper good at that lor. She should be a sniper if she decided not to do medicine anymore. LOL. Fun couple of days before going back! Hehehe...really can't believe that sam, ee & I didn't go out to city centre together the ENTIRE ACADEMIC YEAR till after exams. -.- Hardworking us siah...lol

Came back home a little later than expected coz of flight delays, crammed in an lmxlb session before going off to Malaysia for church camp! The main speaker was really pretty good though he kind of sped through Judges & Ruth. At least I have a greater understanding of those books and learnt relevant lessons, rather than just dismissing them as "only fit for sunday school" kind of stories. It's actually abit depressing that the world we live in today is kind of like the situation the Israelites were in during the time of the judges, where there was so much sin coz everyone "did what was right in their own eyes". Haiz.

Errrr....I got to eat lotsa food I missed though! Like random malay kuehs, prata, etc. And play with baby Caitlin! so cute and so guai! hehehhehe...no wonder all the church aunties & uncles love her. lolololol. Also ended up feeling oldddddd among the YFers and realised how lousy I am at bowling. Really phaillllls.

On another totally random note, one should not watch food movies on the plane. I watched Patisserie Coin de Rue on the way to Dubai and the already abit pathetic-looking plane meal looked even more unappetising in comparison to the pastries in that Japanese show.

Also, I should avoid sad, touching shows like a plague. Cried through almost half of 1778 Stories of Me and My Wife, ending up with red, tired-looking eyes (luckily the 2 seats next to me were empty!!!)It's about this writer who writes a story a day for his wife to cheer her up as she battles cancer...abit long but *heartbreakkkkk*
