It snowed again today! Nice fluffy flakes floating down from the sky all day long, settling on the sidewalks, the cars, the people....ON EVERYTHING. Ahhhhh...such a wonderful distraction from my respiration lab that consisted mainly of watching people breathe into bags and exhaling as hard as possible to find the forced expiration volume.

It's good...watching snow drift down. At least it is IF you're indoors and not walking up in the cold with the blizzard in your face. Everything just seems prettier when covered with a layer of fresh snow! Grey Glasgow turns so white and pure! =D

Then, this really random thought popped into my head: "Ahhh...so this is what those hymns try to illustrate". Those hymn writers (mainly from random parts of UK or US) always talk about how Jesus can wash our sins WHITE AS SNOW, and it's only now that I get what they are driving at. If you do not already know, Glasgow is grey, dreary and pretty dirty coz of people who lose their inhibition and stuff when they are drunk. BUT....it actually looks really REALLY picture-pretty once it's covered by a layer of snow. SERIOUSLY. It's like the snow hides all the disgusting dirty bits and makes it look so clean and pure. It's so nice and white that it actually reflects the sun's rays if the sun is shiny down on a layer of untouched snow!

As such, those hymns really do show how clean Christ washed our sins away. Of course, they should have added FRESHLY FALLEN or UNTOUCHED before the word snow, but...oh wells. Just feel like being contemplative today coz I've kind of finished my PBL!!!!! =D Yeps, so I've got more time to THINK. heheheheheheheheh
