EASTER SUNDAY! =D

Sunday, April 12, 2009 making-sweetness

today was a day of FIRSTs! 1st time waking up so early in a long long time, 1st time going for sunrise service, 1st time playing for the primary department and 1st time giving "chinese tuition". i don't care if you don't believe the last one, but it's true. XD

going chronologically...

got up at 5.30-ish for sunrise at the top of jurong hill. luckily i got all my stuff ready so we weren't THAT late. well...not late for service, just late for choir prac there at 6.10. I'M SURPRISED I DIDN'T DOZE OFF DURING THE SERVICE =) anyways, it's prob the last year we can have sunrise service up there, which is a pity coz it's such a BEAUTIFUL place. had my back to the skyline though, so didn't really see the sun rise. quite funny to see people bringing their stools, picnic chairs, mats and plastic bags. i still don't see what's wrong with bring a nice big plastic bag to sit on lor! aunty catherine kept telling shiqi to bring a torchlight there the day before when we took her car back (with like 5 people squashed in the backseat...-_-") hope the authorities will continue to let us go there...oh and let us throw our rubbish into the bins there. like...it's so lame to have bins around which you can't throw the rubbish into.

thennnnn...back to church for BREAKFAST! haven't eaten those deep-fried doughsticks aka youtiao, ham jim behng, etc for a long LONG long time. maybe a few years? nice porridge too! =D

ah yes...and i only heard about 15min of today's message in between playing for the kindergarten and the primaries. the primary department is seriously....lacking in discipline. POOR MRS LAM! she's getting bullied by lower pri kids lor! luckily she teaches the sec side...or else...haiz. my heart goes out to her. THOSE KIDS ARE SO NOISY LAH! when i finally came out...ahhhh...耳目清新的感觉太令人怀念了....

ok...that last line was to prove that i can still read some chinese. HAHAHA....JASPER BANNED CHINESE IN MY GROUP LAH! super funny...anti-chinese leader. lolx. anyways...i DID give "chinese tuition" in church lor. hehe...but it's to a kindergarten kid who is filipino. fine FINE..it's more like helping her with her chinese homework. my chinese is bad, but it's still higher than kindergarten standard k! it's just matching the chinese word to the animal....easy peasy. but i was reduced to teaching her in the most comical way (coz her chinese ah....really...haiz. it's like greek to her.)--ie "羊is goat in chinese! look it's got horns too! *points at the 2 点s on the top*" i think i just ruined her chinese foundation, if she had any to speak of.
