making-sweetness THE EXHILARATION OF LIBERATION!!!!
Thursday, November 20, 2008 making-sweetness Back to the top

''You may now le.....'' The rest of the words were drowned out by the cacophony of noise that filled the whole hall. Screams and squeals, the loud screeching of the chair against the hard floor, crushing of now-useless paper, congratulatory pats on the back, the punching of fists into the cool air, vulgar exclamations,...

Pandemonium. Chaos. An explosion of sound replacing that pin-drop silence.

None could hear how the sentence ended, yet all knew what it meant--

the sound of freedom.

hahahah...a feeble attempt at inserting some 'class' into my blog. was never any good at literature anyway (think roller-coaster rides...), though i enjoy incorporating some literary devices into what i write and love reading prose which has loads of imagery and allusions...

oh well..who cares! 'A's ARE OVER MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bio paper 3 and 1 were all ok, GAZILLION TIMES BETTER THAN PAPER 2! thank God for seeing me through everything, i just can't thank Him enough....

at long long last....i can burn my notes (if my mum doesn't stop me and ask me to save them for my sis), read my neil gaiman book (borrowed from the library and half-read), go to the bookshop and browse at the books, go shopping, go k, go this, go that.....

ahhhhhhh...the joys of being too free and at a lost about what to do. even rotting at home sounds like an appealing activity!

anyways, went window shopping with the class girls today!!!! since we ended at 9.30, we hung out near the classbench writing notes for the teachers, delivered it to their 'doorstep' (more like desk in the staffroom) and fly to orchard like a flock of migratory birds! hahahahahha

couldn't decide what movie to watch--they ALL suck. HSM3 is sooo cheesy and retarded, plus that rich girl is super annoying and zac efron is such a jock! WINX club makes me wince in excruciating pain at the thought of having to watch it. the reviews for madagascar were not really good and that bond movie has daniel craig in it. no one in their right mind would want to watch a talking movie on iraq even with leonardo dicaprio in it, while those who can hear cute little doggies talk can't be in their right mind. the rest were a hobnob of sucky films, so we contented ourselves with staring at the twilight movie posters. SAD.

nevermind....after replenishing our energy at sakae in wheelock (yummy tempura udon!), we went shopping! =) burnt abit of calories traversing down orchard! hahahahaha....from wheelock to round and round taka. popped by at some bookstores along the way....where i entertained myself suitably with ''the diary of a wimpy boy'' (chao cute kids book....), resisted snatching that new neil gaiman book ('the graveyard's son' or something like that...) and smuggling it home, as well as succumb to the temptation of reading a short story from another neil gailman book. ahhhh....just love his dark twists and wild imaginations as he conjures up the most AMAZING fantasy books! wish he would relax a little bit on those *ahem* portions though....it makes me a little squeamish at times...

BUT the main aim was still to find THE prom dress. i think i want a babydoll kinda dress, preferably in a dark colour and hopefully below 100bucks. anything that can hide my fat arse that just grew in volume after sitting down too often to mug during the past few weeks. the nice one i saw at zara with the really good fabric was 198 bucks, TOTALLY priced out of my reach. the only other good thing is that i'm so short that dresses which look obscenely slutty on others (read: TALLER people) would look perfect on me! hahaha...self-deprecating humour.

soooooooooo..the search continues tomorrow! going out with the class girls to bugis! =) hahaha...going shopping wif ahdian and gerielle next thursday too! wheeeeeeeeeeee!
