homework and studies aren't helping either....it has formed a huge mountain range on my table. daunting...and totally off-putting.

and i'm still broke. =( i bet the photocopying shop ladies are gonna have a very comfortable sum of money to retire on...just look at the number of people buying prelim papers, extra material, etc...it's crazy.

but then again, life is crazy. it's just one big mad rush...to a meaningless goal. urgh.

okok....too depressing. hahahahah....change topic to....篮球火! hahaha...very funny and retarded, especially that da ying! jie er is sooooooo sweet lah and jerry yen looks cool (for once. i absolutely detest f4 btw...) as dong fang xiang! nice nice show...contributes to relaxing my mind and bringing some laughter to my sad life (da ying too lame liao, can't help but laugh at his retardedness...). hahaha...they're gonna show the 1st ep next week as part of some 933 thingy held in school....while i'm having math consult (i think). oh wells...i've watched that episode anyways!

i think too much. should stop that...like now. maybe i'm just a tad too sentimental, which can be quite bad for my own emotional well-being. eeps, 我怀念的is currently looping in my head. it's a nice song though...hahaha..

then there's this other fable that i really like, for some reason. it's the story of the bat...
once upon a time, there was a big battle in the woods between the birds and the animals, for territorial rights or something which is not really necessary for this story. anyway, the bat was caught in the middle, unable to decide which group he belonged to. at first, the birds were winning the fight, so the bat decided to join the birds' army. ''see, i have wings and can fly, just like you birds!'' was his cry, so the birds let him in. as the battle wore on, the birds grew weaker and the animals started winning the battle. the bat ditched the birds and wanted to join the animals. ''i have fur, not feathers!'' were the words he used to join the animal crowd. as luck would have it, the animals started suffering defeat, so the bat wanted to return to the birds' army. the birds weren't happy at all, saying ''weren't you with the animals? what are you doing here? go away!'' as they kicked him out. the animals heard about how he tried to join the birds' army and didn't want him back, screaming ''we don't want traitors!!'' in fact, the birds and animals were so angry at the bat that they both chased the bat and tried to kill him. dejected, rejected and fearful for his life, the bat retreated into a dark cave that the birds and animals were afraid to go into and he only came out at night after that.

moral of the story? use molecular data rather than morphological structures to decide how to group the species together...hahah... NOT. i'm sure the moral of the story is pretty obvious by now. i just like this story...can draw parallels to it sometimes...
